Gratitude, and on to building next WooCommerce host

About seven years ago, I couldn’t believe my luck when I got an offer to work at Automattic. I have been extraordinarily lucky, in that my first job out of college was with some of the most brilliant people I have ever met, and this next one was no exception. Not only it was a great job offer, but I would also get to work on open source projects full time!

Over years, my job got me to travel a lot, and make lots of friends with people from backgrounds that I otherwise wouldn’t have opportunities to interact with. I got to work with very awesome and bright colleagues, executed extremely complex projects to success and learned a lot. It’s very gratifying to see all the impact I was able to make.

And now that my chapter at Automattic has come to an end, I am filled with nothing but gratitude for all these years.

Friends, Teams, So Long… and Thanks for All the Fish!

WooCommerce as an open source project has been very powerful, it has rightfully found a great market fit and powers millions of shops without breaking a sweat.

Something that I have wanted to do, is to present it in it’s best polished version. I will build that.

I will write more about how it will connect with merchants, and increase revenue as I build it out. Till then, stay tuned and thanks for reading.
